The Lion is called the King of the Jungle, but when you see his piercing eyes, they tell you a different story. A story of a lion that lives a captive life amidst the concrete jungle in S’pore. Its not what you would call a perfect life. They don’t deserve to be in a cage or for that matter enclosed within a moat. They deserve to be in the wild.. Born Free and Die free !!

The Tibetan Prayer Wheel..

A Tibetan prayer wheel is a cylindrical wheel on a spindle made from metal, wood, stone, leather or coarse cotton. Traditionally, the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum is written in Sanskrit on the outside of the wheel. According to the lineage texts on prayer wheels, prayer wheels are used to accumulate wisdom and merit (good karma) and to purify negativities (bad karma). High time I get one home !!

Oia, Santorini

Oia is a small town in Santorini, Greece. It is by far the most romantic and beautiful spot on this planet Ive been to. Picturesque white houses with blue domes, blue windows and blue doors. This wonderful town situated on the edge of a cliff overseeing the Aegean sea is a wonderful sight. A must visit for everyone whose ever been in love !!

SIlver Lining

Every cloud has a silver lining. This is what I tell myself every time Im in a mess. No matter how bad the situation, even a bad situation has a certain ‘good’ aspect to it. I keep myself going and look back at this image.. I captured this image in Pulau Tioman, an island off the coast of Malaysia where after a brief shower, the setting sun slowly appeared behind the rain clouds giving me the perfect picture.

One Flap of a Seagull…

The Ring-billed Gull is a migratory bird that often visits the western shores of Europe. Often seen above the water surface in search of fish, shrimp and other prey these gulls are expert predators. I managed to capture this image at the Old Port of Mykonos, Greece where this seagull and a bunch of others were hovering around a fishing trawler.

The Dragonfly

Dragonflies are among the fastest flying insects in the world… But they also make for a wonderful picture when they sit on flowers and plants.. But dont mistake them for insects which have honey or pollen from flowers, dragonflies are rather important predators that eat mosquitoes, and other small insects like flies, bees, ants, wasps, and very rarely butterflies… Feisty haan ??

Hungry ?

Chipmunks are some of the cutest animals you will come across. Scampering across roads and climbing trees in search of their favourite nuts is a sight all of us must have come across sometimes in our lives. This one reminded me of one of my favourite cartoons that I watched during my childhood, Chipmunks.. I captured this image in Udaipur, Rajasthan. In the middle of a really hot day, this cutie was deeply engrossed in its meal.

The Peregrine Falcon

The Peregrine Falcons, which are a bird of prey are sexually dimorphic birds, wherein the females are larger in size than the males. The Peregrine falcon is renowned for its speed, reaching over 322 km/h (200 mph) during its characteristic hunting stoop making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom. They are also used during the highly popular sport of falconry practiced in the Arab world. Their handlers usually keep their eyes covered during most times to keep them calm.
